Attorney General
Mixed Curling League

Welcome!

TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL CURLING LEAGUE WEB SITE AT: www.agcurling.ca!

Hi all! Welcome to our... Briefly hopeful 2020-2021 season!!

Updates to COVID-19 Prevention Orders - February 10, 2021

(From the FRCC Executive):

Revised guidelines and orders released on February 9, 2021 from the Province of Manitoba continue to impact operations at Curling Clubs and Sporting Facilities in the Province of Manitoba.

As curling and other indoor organized sports are not included in the upcoming phase of the Provincial re-opening plan, the Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of this curling season effective immediately.

All Rougers will receive an email in the coming days with additional information about this seasons membership fees.

We had hoped for a different outcome and are disappointed. We look forward to next season, and seeing all Rougers return to the Home of Friendly Curling in October!

Thank-you for your continued patience and understanding as we navigate these uncharted waters.

Letter to the Membership - Feb 10, 2021

OUR 2020-21 SEASON IS ON HOLD Yes this was announced Friday, Oct. 30, 2020. Covid numbers are going through the roof! So Dr. Roussin has ordered a Sporting Facilities shutdown for TWO WEEKS. Though that will surely extend if the Covid numbers don't drop! So stay tuned.

WELCOME!

The Attorney General Curling League is a fun mixed league that curls at the Fort Rouge Curling Club on Mondays at 5:00 PM from mid-October through March! This site is a main source of information about our league for everyone!

Enjoy! And scroll down for announcements and everything else!

The Curling Return to Play VIDEO!
This shows how to curl during Covid-19! Distancing, etc. Pretty helpful. Hosted by the delightful Heather Nedohin!

Ties are back!! Yes, last season we voted to eliminate ties, to improve the tie-breaking and Grand Aggregate determinations. BUT! Because of Covid, the Fort Rouge Club Executive have asked that we take no extra time to finish our games. Including a draw to the button tie-breaker. So we go back to ties in Rounds 1 and 2. We will see about our Playoff Round if the situation has changed by that time.

NEW BELL RULE!! Also handed down by the Fort Rouge Board... When the bell rings, you finish THAT END ONLY. No end after that. The end you're in when the bell rings is it. This is to avoid congestion between draws! Blame Covid again!

Looking for a spare? All skips will be sent a League Contact list for this season. Which has spares listed at the bottom! Also, check any teams that have more than 4 players... perhaps their extra players are looking for a game! Contact their skips and see! Can't hurt.

New Website Look! Yes you might notice that our agcurling.ca website home page looks a little different. Had to change due to old code that was interfering with refreshing pages (ie. the Standings or Schedule pages). That problem is gone now. Any comments (or other problems) please let me know!

OK here are our season schedules, standings, stats, etc! Old docs until the new get created.
